Thomas Wylde For Sienna

Not every designer lands with his first collection in exclusive Maxfield, Los Angeles. Not everyone gets a full page in Elle magazine right out of the blue either... Famous for the neo-goth skull prints, this designer's scarves have been photographed with Lindsay Lohan and Charlize Theron, but it's with no doubt Sienna Miller who's the leading muse for Thomas Wylde. Fashionistas along with us will instantly recognise the Academy Awards outfit; the shapeless, ankle length, 60's dress with the signature studded neck-piece. Turning up later on for the slightly more casual event, the Weinstein Co. party, Sienna looks just as glam in another Thomas Wylde piece.

Sienna looked awful at both events (and the weinstein event was pre oscar not post). The designer may be very talented but the bag lady look just doesn't work for me, or her.

Some say she looked awful, others rave about how cool this was. Personally I think she looked fab in this. And I'm glad this 'style icon' has finally moved on from that bohemian thing...

Thomas Wylde is a woman designer. I forget her real name, but "Thomas Wylde" is the combination of the names of the designer's grandfathers. Just thought I'd point that out.

I think Sienna Miller looked really cool in this dress. The Edie Sedgwick 60's look works for her. Besides, it was a nice change from this year's usual tastefully boring Oscar's fashion.

I know Paola Thomas (designer for Thomas Wylde). She is now based in downtown LA and she's amazingly talented! I love her. She got her design ideas from living 1980s rebellious London. She is a natural. And she was a model for about 15 years, then did styling for many companies...eventually came to Los Angeles...she lives in Venice now...

Paula Thomas is a genius. Her designs on fabric bring to light our unconscious fears - Skulls, scorpions, spiders, co-exist in combination with haute couture styling on the most exquisite fabrics on the planet.
What a fabulous contrast. Everyone notices. Each season out does the last. Her collection is great art... Destined to become a classic.

I adore my Thomas Wylde pieces.
